MEASURE IT gives you an empty sheet: draw a cylinder at any angle and both end ellipses are measured against the axis of the form, in degrees off square, plus whether the far end opens up as it recedes (it is smaller across and MORE OPEN — the pair almost everybody reverses). The exercise that follows the 250 boxes, and both faults it checks are invisible to the person making them, because an ellipse drawn on its own always looks fine. - [Symmetry drill (draw the other half, measured against the given one)](https://www.drawizeacademy.com/drawing-exercises/symmetry): Half a vase is drawn; you draw the missing half, and your side is folded across the centre line onto the given one. Measured at ninety-six heights: how far out you were, whether your misses share a direction, and whether the neck and belly landed at the right heights. The one exercise here that compares your drawing to your own other half rather than to a supplied target, which is the skill anything drawn front-on depends on. Nearly everybody draws the second half narrow, and this says by how much. - [Box in perspective drill (250 box challenge check)](https://www.drawizeacademy.com/drawing-exercises/boxes): Two ways to use it, and any stroke order you like — draw the front face as one closed stroke or as four, chain edges into an L, go back over a line; the strokes are resolved into edges before anything is measured. LEARN IT builds the box with you one mark at a time in one-, two- or three-point: you set the vanishing points and eye level with sliders and watch the construction change, then each mark you draw is checked for aim, displacement, length, overshoot and bow, and a mark that misses comes off the sheet with the reason named. MEASURE IT extends every edge to find where each set of four actually meets — the check the 250 box challenge is built on — reported in degrees with the worst set named, and grading convergence, how distinct the three directions are, over-convergence distortion, linework and whether the box was drawn through. Also: an opt-in five-stage course; PREDICT-THEN-CHECK, where you declare the vanishing points, they vanish, you draw unaided, and the page reports the distance between the point you declared and the point your edges actually agreed on; a tipped view where no edge can be got right by drawing a vertical; and a reprojection of your own edges extended back to show the viewpoint your hand was really using.
